Women’s lacrosse returns home, wins 3 straight

UW-River Falls Women’s Lacrosse returned to Ramer Field on March 20, hosting their first home game of the season. Following their 15-2 regular season last year, the Falcons opened their 2023 campaign 1-3 before returning to the nest for three straight home matchups.

Falcons lacrosse looks to grow in inaugural season

The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Women’s lacrosse team started its inaugural season on Feb. 24 with a 3-15 loss to Sewanee: The University of the South in Minneapolis, Minn. Since then, the team is riding a two-game winning streak with victories over Concordia University and Elmhurst College.

New lacrosse coach looks to build program from the ground up

Alison Jennings was named the university’s first lacrosse coach in July, after the athletic department announced in April that lacrosse would be added as the 17th varsity sport. Jennings helped start the program at Augsburg College in Minneapolis and was the assistant coach for the past four years.
