On Tuesday, UWRF women’s volleyball earned a thrilling WIAC tournament win against UW-Platteville.

Women's volleyball is heading to the WIAC tournament for the second straight year. This is the Falcon's fourth WIAC tournament appearance in the last decade. Head Coach Dipen Patel, who was hired in 2022, holds two of these tournament births.

Last season, The Falcons snuck into the WIAC tournament with a 2-5 conference record. As the #6 seed, they would lose in four sets at UW-Stevens Point.

UWRF Women’s Volleyball returns home 17-7

Head coach Dipen Patel leads his second year with the UWRF women’s volleyball program after being hired in early 2022. The Falcons are currently 17-7 and 2-2 in conference matchups. Four games remain in the regular season, posing critical opportunities for Patel’s Falcons.

Falcons’ volleyball has been on a tear this season, starting out 12-1 before dropping two matches at the UWRF Falcon Invite this past weekend at newly-opened Page Arena. Coach Patti Ford has been with the program longer than her current players have been alive and has helped guide her team to their best start in over a decade.

Hannah Robb had a huge impact on the UWRF volleyball team this weekend at the St. Catherine tournament. The freshman from Medford, Minnesota had a season-high 43 digs against St. Catherine University on Saturday and had 72 digs through three matches this past week.

Falcon volleyball team boasts impressive win streak

The Falcons went 4-0 in the tournament with 3-0 wins over Greenville College and Marian University on the first day. They faced a little more opposition on the second day but still managed wins over host Lake Forest 3-0, and 3-1 over Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) in their final match.
