The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Women’s Basketball Team finished their regular season on a strong note, defeating the UW-Stevens Point Pointers 71-58 on senior night Feb. 16.

The women’s basketball team at UW-River Falls starts its regular season on Nov. 8 against Marian University of Milwaukee. The Falcons’ first game of the year will be at home in the Don Page Arena and that is how the brand new coach wants it.

UW-River Falls Women’s basketball season came to an end after a three-game win streak propelled the team to a 10-15 record on the year.

The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Men's basketball team had their season come to a conclusion against UW-Whitewater on Feb. 16, 2019, after a 77-74 loss in the closing seconds of regulation.
February 12, 2019
The UW–River Falls Women’s basketball team dropped to 7-14 on the season following a last second 63-60 loss against UW–Stevens Point at Don Page Arena on Feb. 2. The Falcons came into the game at the bottom of the WIAC standings with a 1-9 record. The UW–Stevens Point Pointers came into the game second to last in the WIAC with a 4-6 record.

UW–River Falls Men’s basketball dropped to 8-11 on the season, including a 1-7 WIAC record, following an 80-69 loss to UW–Oshkosh at Don Page Arena on Jan. 26.

Despite traveling to Minneapolis and suffering a defeat, the Falcons and UWRF still look at the experience as favorable behind all of the work it took to put together this U.S. Bank Stadium Classic event.

The UW-River Falls men’s basketball moved to 4-2 on the season after an 85-70 loss to the University of St. Thomas on Friday, Nov. 30. The Falcons played a neutral site game for the first time this season at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
