With 500,000 children enrolled in the United States’ foster care system, there are no shortage of those foster children that need aid. Together We Rise (TWR), a nonprofit organization, has the goal of helping kids in foster care around the country.

The UW-River Falls campus has recently enrolled a record-high 150 international students this fall, creating opportunities for students on campus to interact with elements of different cultures, such as the recently developed “Brazilian Fridays” program.

Assistant Professor of English and faculty advisor to the UW-River Falls student literary magazine “Prologue” Joseph Rein has recently acquired an interesting accolade. Rein’s screenplay, “15 Minutes with Jacob,” was made into a short film this year.
