The “It’s On Us” campaign is a national campaign to end sexual assault on college campuses. The campaign was nationally launched by President Barack Obama on Sept. 19, 2014, and the UW-River Falls Student Senate launched its campaign on Oct. 20, 2014.

It has been one year since the men’s and women’s swimming and diving team was cut and now UWRF is looking at cutting another women’s sport from the list. One of the sports that has come up in discussions is the women’s tennis team.

Eileen Korenic is a physics professor here at UWRF. Aside from being a professor here at UWRF, she is also an actress and has been acting since she was young. Her favorite field is community theater.

Commuting is a major issue for a lot of students, faculty and staff at UW-River Falls. Those who live within an hour from campus and don’t have to live in the university dorms will often choose to commute rather than find housing in River Falls.

The UW-River Falls men’s hockey team had a fitting end to its season: the Falcons won its first ever WIAC Commissioner’s Cup by beating the UW-Stevens Point Pointers on the road, 3-1, on March 7.

The seventh nationally ranked men’s hockey team is 7-3 in the WIAC and 18-4-1 overall with two games left in the regular season, and the Falcons currently sit in second place in the WIAC behind rival UW-Stevens Point.

The UW-River Falls women’s hockey team had a satisfying weekend as the Falcons clinched its second-straight WIAC title with a 5-2 win over the UW-Superior Yellowjackets on Saturday, Feb. 7.
