Local student selected as finalist in FMC Anthem Contest

FMC Agricultural Products Group (APG) announces that UW-River Falls student Allison Nohre, De Pere, Wis., is one of four finalists in the “Stand & Be Heard Anthem Singing Contest.” Selected by popular online vote, Nohre now hopes to win the grand prize of a $10,000 college scholarship. Voting begins online at www.FMCcrop.com/contest through Oct. 19 with the grand prize winner announcement on Oct. 24.
Nohre stated, “When I first found out about the Anthem Contest, I had to give it a try. With nothing to lose and everything to gain, I had no idea how to react when I found out I was a finalist. I’m fortunate to be a part of this is once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
Nohre recently traveled to Nashville to rerecord her rendition of the national anthem with a music producer as well as talk about her experience in the FMC Anthem Contest.
Involved in FFA for the past four years, Nohre is majoring in agriculture studies. At 18-years-old, she spent her high school career serving in leadership positions in FFA, including president for two years and officer for three years. She also participated in the National and Wisconsin State FFA Bands.
