UWRF cancels afternoon classes due to weather conditions

The University of Wisconsin-River Falls has canceled all afternoon classes starting at 3:30 p.m. and later at the UWRF campus and UWRF Hudson Center for Tuesday, Feb. 2. This is due to the current weather and road conditions.
It started to snow in River Falls around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning and it has continued throughout the day, with five to 10 total inches expected. Snow is expected to persist until 3:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Pierce County is currently under a Winter Storm Warning until 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, according to The National Weather Service.
The university has advised faculty and staff to use their best judgment when deciding to leave work early due to these weather conditions. There has currently been no announcement made about university-wide cancelations for Wednesday, Feb. 3.
