Students can declare their independence with semester abroad: Europe

February 7, 2013

Semester Abroad: Europe is looking for adventurous, curious, independent-minded students who want the reward of creating and carrying out their own study projects in a European country of their choice.

The program, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, is open to students in all majors. Some recent projects have focused on jazz music in Paris, volcanology in Italy, identifying artwork stolen by the Nazis in Germany and equine disease research in Great Britain. Participants also take advantage of a month of independent or small-group travel throughout Europe at the end of the fall semester. Contact Brad Gee, 2013 group leader (brad.gee@uwrf.edu), or come to the next weekly preparatory meeting from 7-9 p.m. onĀ  Tuesday, Feb. 12, in room 103 of Davee Library.
