Barn Cats play at November River Falls Barn Dance

The Twin Cities old-time string band the Barn Cats will supply music for the River Falls Barn Dance series from 7-10 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Academy Gym on West Maple Street.

No experience is required and first-timers are encouraged to attend. An experienced caller leads participants in dance steps.  All ages are welcome and partners are optional. Family dances suitable for younger children are emphasized during the first half, with more challenging fun in the second half.

Other dances in the 2012-13 barn dance season are:
Rush River Ramblers on Jan. 12
Barn Cats on Feb. 9
Grit Pickers on March 10
Poor Benny on April 13

All dances are held on Saturday evenings.

The barn dances are a joint project of River Falls Community Arts Base and River Falls Parks and Recreation. Admission is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children ages 12 and under. Inexpensive refreshments are available.
