UWRF women's hockey prepares to play Norwich University in NCAA semifinal

The UW-River Falls Falcon women’s hockey team has arrived in Plattsburgh, N.Y. for the Frozen Four this weekend and is set to take on Norwich University (Vt.) tomorrow afternoon in the semifinals with the drop of the puck at 7 p.m. (EST).

Women's hockey wins NCAA quarterfinal game, advances to semifinals

After getting knocked out of the NCAA quarterfinal game the past four years the UW-River Falls women’s hockey team won this afternoon 4-1 over Lake Forest College and will advance to the NCAA semi-finals.

The UW-River Falls women’s hockey team will host a NCAA quarterfinal game for their sixth straight tournament appearance on Saturday, March 12, against Lake Forest College.

Dance team finds success in fourth annual fundraising event

What started as an idea four years ago to raise money for the UW-River Falls dance with paper ballot voting and a low key crowd has evolved into a crowd favorite. The fourth annual Dancing with the Stars competition was a success, selling out the Abbot Concert Hall in Kleinpell Fine Arts.

The UW-River Falls Athletics Department is taking on a $48,500 base cut in 2014-15, along with already carrying forward a $10,000 deficit, leading to a tough decision on the future of the swimming and diving team.

Football team anticipates 2014 season

Six football transfers are now attending UW-River Falls this spring, with plans of joining the team which returns four All-WIAC players. The Falcons will only be losing seven seniors next fall.
