AFAB budget receives approval

With spring weather comes the end of the UW-River Falls Allocable Fees Appropriations Board (AFAB) year. AFAB chair Kayla Edstrom said this year went well, although there were some challenges as can be expected.

Queer Prom raises awareness against violence

For the first time at UW-River Falls, a Queer Prom was facilitated. Residence Life and the Residence Hall Association (RHA) supported the Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) in funding the event.

Football putting in off-season workouts

After graduating from River Falls High School he enrolled at UW-River Falls and made the UWRF football team. After almost a full year of being on the roster of 101 UWRF football players, freshman quarterback Ryan Kusilek said, “the only thing that connects the two are football and the fact it’s in River Falls.”

Twelve organizations receive no funding from AFAB

Of the 68 UW-River Falls organizations that requested money from the Allocable Fees Appropriation Board (AFAB) this coming year, 12 of them did not receive any.

Design proposal to reshape campus

There are four boards in the University Center’s Involvement Center with images of the UW-River Falls campus. The difference between how campus is depicted on the boards and how it looks outside the UC frosted windows is the campus mall’s layout and appearance.

Two heading to nationals for women’s indoor track

Alyssa Rasmussen is making her third trip to nationals representing UW-River Falls. Rasmussen will be joined by Brittany Nordland in the trip to Naperville, Ill., where the meet will be held Saturday for indoor track and field.
