Student involvement suffers at UW-River Falls
As UW-River Falls gets back into the swing of things, student involvement is still low. UWRF has struggled for the last few years with student involvement, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic. The need for students to actively participate in clubs, however, feels the same this year as the last.

Recent graduate Eva Schrank dies
Eva Lindsey Schrank, a dancer, dance instructor, choreographer, artist, and cat lover, died Sept. 6 at their home in River Falls. She was 22.

The end of COVID-19 at UWRF?
With the start of the 2022-2023 school year at UW-River Falls, students are experiencing, for the first time since 2020, a semester free of COVID-19 restrictions. The university was almost completely silent on the issue of the pandemic, save for a few emails and a brief article.

A celebration of life for former UW-River Falls mathematics Professor Robert Lorell "Bob" Coffman is scheduled Sunday, Aug. 28, in St. Paul. Coffman died July 17 at the age of 63.

Student Voice wins seven journalism awards
The Student Voice, the campus newspaper of UW-River Falls, has won seven awards in the 2021 Collegiate Better Newspaper Contest sponsored by the Wisconsin Newspaper Association Foundation.

UWRF commencement set for May 7
A total of 850 UW-River Falls students are expected to graduate this spring and summer, according to the registrar's office. The 2022 commencement is scheduled Saturday, May 7, in the Knowles Field House at Falcon Center.
