UW-River Falls ranks low in attendance at athletic events
Last place does not usually bring positive connotation when it comes to some sports, and at UW-River Falls, attendance at athletic events has been abysmal this year.

Softball clinches playoff berth with three WIAC wins in final week
The UW-River Falls softball team had a strong final week of the regular season finishing at 20-20 on the season and 4-2 in the last six games. The Falcons finished sixth in the WIAC and qualified for the WIAC tournament that begins on Friday, May 1, at UW-Eau Claire.

TEDx event looks to make splash at UW-River Falls
This particular event will be a "TEDx" event. TED Talks have been known to be used in classrooms everywhere, including some classrooms here at UWRF. A TEDx event is a smaller TED event for small venues such as the city of River Falls.

Men's basketball loses in WIAC first round after impressive season
The UW-River Falls men’s basketball team went into its final week of the season needing two wins to secure the third seed in the WIAC tournament, which would be its highest finish since 2012 when the Falcons finished second.

Women's hockey eyes another NCAA tournament berth
The UW-River Falls women’s hockey team (20-3-1 overall, 9-1-1 in the WIAC) have won its second-straight WIAC regular season championship, meaning the Falcons will host the 2015 O’Brien Cup playoffs, which starts on Friday, Feb, 27.
