UW-River Falls Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Fernando Delgado was not hired as the president of the Western Oregon University, despite being named one of four finalists in the running earlier this month.

Online data science master's program approved at six UW campuses
The UW System Board of Regents has granted its approval to offer a 12-course, 36-credit online master’s degree in the fast-growing field of data science.

70 mph speed limit bill moving forward in State Senate

UW-River Falls honored seven of its best and brightest undergraduates on Thursday, April 23, during the 2015 Chancellor’s Award For Students ceremony. The students were presented the award, which recognizes student leadership, service and commitment, during a ceremony in the Riverview Ballroom in the University Center.

Horticultural society names outstanding UWRF senior
Senior Jameson Coopman has been named the 2015 Outstanding Senior in Horticulture at UW-River Falls by the American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS). Coopman is a senior double majoring in horticulture and Spanish.

130 students showcase undergraduate research at State Capitol
State legislators joined the UW System and institutional leaders in welcoming 130 students and nearly 90 faculty mentors to the State Capitol rotunda. There, undergraduates from the UW System’s 26 campuses set up poster displays and shared the findings of their diverse research subjects which, in many cases, are the culmination of multiple academic years of study and collaboration with faculty mentors and community partners throughout Wisconsin.

Marketing communications class helps 'Fuel the Drive' for high school student
UW-River Falls marketing communication students will be hosting a fundraising event on behalf of "Fuel the Drive," a community-based group that is working to assist River Falls High School student Alma Silver, who is afflicted with cerebral palsy, to transition into adulthood.
