Laura King named vice chancellor of strategic enrollment

As part of UW-River Falls’ ongoing efforts to increase student enrollment, Laura King was named the Vice Chancellor of Strategic Enrollment on Nov. 17, 2022, and took office on Jan. 3, 2023.

Academic freedom addressed in Q&A

UW-River Falls held a Q&A session on Feb. 3 to address recent concerns with academic freedom at universities across the United States. Jennifer Lattis, Attorney for the UW System Office of General Counsel, spoke on these concerns, including events at Hamline University and universities in Florida, and answered questions from attending faculty.

Dairy Pilot Plant renovation prepares for grand reopening this spring

The University of Wisconsin-River Falls will make a return to dairy production on campus with the renovation of its Dairy Plant, which is projected to open in spring of 2023. When operational, the Plant will be able to produce around a thousand pounds of cheese curds and around 600 to 800 gallons of ice cream per day.
