Jury finds Barnett not guilty in sexual assault case
After deliberating for 10 hours the jury in the Thomas W. Barnett case came to a verdict at 10:40 a.m. Saturday, finding the UWRiver Falls music professor not guilty of second-degree sexual assault and false imprisonment.

Former chancellor dies at 82; remembered for overseeing campus growth
Former UW-River Falls Chancellor George R. Field, who oversaw substantial growth in student enrollment, was at the helm of UWRF’s transition to the University of Wisconsin System and who is the namesake of the George R. Field South Fork Suites, has died.
