UWRF launches new major in neuroscience to address growing interest
The program will start accepting students a year earlier than originally anticipated. Travis Tubré, chair of the psychology department, said that this is possible because the program will add just one new course, utilizing already existing classes from a variety of departments.

Literacy, thinking, teamwork are goals of new, required UWRF course
First Year Adventure (College of Arts and Sciences 101) was approved at the Nov. 4 Faculty Senate meeting after passing through various committees since September. The class will be required for incoming freshmen and transfer students with less than 30 credits majoring in a program within CAS.

UW-River Falls researchers grow artificial tissue to study skin cancer
A UW-River Falls research laboratory has become the first to study melanoma by growing three-dimensional artificial tissue, according to the Tissue and Cellular Innovation Center (TCIC). Melanoma is a form of skin cancer.

Community garden serves variety of River Falls needs

New UWRF agricultural engineering program to begin fall 2016
