Campus crime put into perspective
Junior Cammy Nelson got her laptop stolen late last semester from the cubbies outside the University Center commons. Nelson’s stolen laptop contributes to the 62 property damages and thefts reported for the 2011 year, according to the UW-River Falls police reports.

Cascade project set to start early April
Starting in early April, Cascade Avenue will begin construction for the finalized plan of the Cascade Project for a more convenient transportation route. The updated Cascade Avenue Project found on the UW-River Falls website, says that construction is expected to begin April 2 and will be finished by mid-November 2012.

University Center’s fifth-year anniversary celebrates building’s impact on campus
The $34 million majority student funded University Center celebrated its fifth year anniversary on Wednesday, Jan. 25. “The celebration included building tours and speakers as well as free birthday cake served to students during the lunch hour by the UC Desk Staff,” said UC Director Cara Rubis.
