Division 1 Rejects cover Falcons first win of season

October 13, 2025

The first Game of this Season was won by the UWRF Falcons with 45-33 against Alma College, it was covered by Division 1 Reject live at Ramer Field on Saturday the sixth.

Quarterback Kaleb Blaha completed 28 passes with 5 Touchdowns, reaching a career-high.

Matt Walker Head Coach said to Division 1 Rejects “We’ve got maybe the two best Quarterbacks in the Country going!’’ talking about Kaleb Blaha and Alma College Quarterback Carter St. John. Blaha was just 50 yards lower than UWRFs single-game record set by Ben Beckerman in 2019.

Stephen Reifenberer also had a career-high day, hauling in 5 catches for 185 yards with 3 touchdowns. Gage Timm held defense with 12 tackles, while Noah Nusbaum also had 12 tackles and added 2.5 for loss and a forced fumble. Jaylen Reed scored his first game as a Falcon.

In the fourth quarter Alma made a strong push with a 53 yard touchdown pass followed by a blocked punt return for a score to trim the UWRF lead to45-33. But to seal the win, the Falcon defense forced a pair of Scots’ turnovers on down late in the fourth.

Division 1 Rejects joined Falcon Alumni Seth Howard to cover the Game. “We give light to those Division 2 and 3 Guys,’’ says Kobe Manzo, covering undervalued athletes across the country since 2020 and striving to provide teams and players with the professional coverage they deserve. UWRF invited ´Division 1 Rejects` for a faculty tour, “I was blown away by the facility and the setup for a Division 3 (gotta be honest here) is really incredible what we have down there for the student athletes.’’

Small School Saturday in particular highlights the nation's biggest matchups starting with UWRF. “It was our first of what we call small school saturday, a fully revamped production on our end. A new look and new idea for us.’’

The focus on smaller schools was always important to Manzo “Whatever energy you bring on game day and for events like that for smaller institutions is absolutely felt. felt by the people there, the coaches, the parents. […] it means the world to these people […] be a part of a really intimate atmosphere.’’

“Would I be open to coming back? absolutely.’’
