'The Girl on the Train' fails to live up to hype

"The Girl on the Train" stars Emily Blunt as a very disturbed, alcoholic, depressed, recently divorced woman who rides a train every day without a destination. She rides this train every day because it passes by her old home where her ex-husband and the woman he was having an affair with now live happily in.

'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' looks good but lacks substance

After the mysterious passing of his grandfather, Jake is not sure what to do at all. He doesn’t know if he is going crazy due to seeing the odd way his grandfather died and the peculiar last words he spoke to Jake, or if it was his grandfather which was the crazy one. He decides to follow the strange clues that his grandpa left him to either put things to rest and move on, or to actually discover the wonderful things that might lie ahead.

'The Magnificent Seven' is a remake worth watching

Greedy, ruthless, slimy, industrialist Bartholomew Bogue and his hired guns take control of small town called Rose Creek looking to mine their gold. Desperate for help, the town seeks out some men who have the skill to drive out these men once and for all. They find a man named Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington) who agrees to take on this impossible mission. His first recruit is a gunfighter named Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt). Together they round up five more talented fighters who form the Magnificent Seven.

'Sully' proves anyone can be a hero

On Jan. 15, 2009, Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger (Tom Hanks) makes an emergency landing in New York's Hudson River after Flight 1549 strikes a flock of birds. Miraculously, all of the 155 passengers and crew survive the ordeal. Sully becomes a national hero in the eyes of the public and the media. However, the airline starts an investigation that threatens to destroy his career and reputation. Did he actually make the right decision by landing on the Hudson or not?

'The Jungle Book' does original story justice with great cast

Everyone knows about the Jungle Book. This was a movie that I grew up watching as a little kid and it was one of my favorites (the 1967 animated movie). When I heard that they were making another remake of the movie, I was both excited and nervous because not all remakes are worthy of the original. This is NOT the case when it comes to this movie. This adaption of The Jungle Book not only did the original justice, but it improved on it.
