Senate supports ban on sexual discrimination
The UW-River Falls Student Senate threw support toward the efforts of Sen. Jon Erpenbach, D-Middleton, in drafting a proposal for a state constitutional amendment banning discrimination based on sexual orientation.

Injuries plague men’s hockey game
Hunt Arena was silenced Saturday as two hockey-related injuries ended in trips to the hospital for UW-River Falls sophomore Chris Robinson, defenseman for the Falcon men’s squad, and UWRF junior Renae Bergh, a member of the women’s hockey team.

New building should be deemed ‘student center’
At Tuesday’s meeting, Senate passed a motion to recognize the new University Center as a student center. The motion was tabled at last week’s meeting at the recommendation of Senator Jim Vierling.

Eatery offers cure for midnight munchies
UW-River Falls students and members of the surrounding community now have a place to go to satisfy those late-night cravings for burgers and fries. South Fork Café, 116 S. Main St., has extended its hours, now serving patrons between the hours of 12 a.m. and 4 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
