Commuters can expect to see a rise in deer related crashes
It is a sight that commuters driving to UW-River Falls may have seen: The carcass of a struck deer lying in the ditch or spread across the pavement. According to an expert on deer-vehicle crash data, that sight is about to become more common.

Alien film sets tone for future
There is a scene in Steven Spielberg’s “War of the Worlds” in which Tom Cruise keeps his fictional son from running over a hill and seeing a fight between the army and an alien tripod. But Spielberg never shows the battle, a fact that still frustrates me to this day.

Horror film hits rock bottom
If the seventh installment really is the final “Saw,” then the series has gone out on a low note. “Saw 3-D” isn’t just bad, it’s comically bad – as if the producers realized they had run out of ideas and resorted to self-parody instead.

CIA film takes romantic twist
