AFAB funds WRFW through student media laws

In Rebecca Rudolph’s story “AFAB budget receives approval” in the April 19 issue of the Student Voice, it was said that WRFW received funding because it is a news organization.
While WRFW is unique in many ways because it is a news organization in part, the reason that AFAB is required by the State of Wisconsin to fund the operating expenses, etc (read F50 for the legal language) is because they are student media. I would thus consider the statement in the article something of a typo.
