UWRF student injured in car crash

UW-River Falls student Allison Murray, 19, was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minn., by a Lifelink helicopter Wednesday after her car rolled over on County Road E south of Highway 10 around 9 a.m., according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.
Murray, from Lake City, Minn., was driving north in a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer when she failed to negotiate the curve just south of Highway 10. The vehicle rolled several times, ending up on its passenger side in the southbound ditch.
Murray was the only one in the vehicle and her injuries are undetermined.
Alcohol is not related to the accident, said a Pierce County deputy. The accident remains under investigation.
