Falcons head out Wednesday, Parents and ‘Super Fans’ taking buses out

Posted on Mar 16, 2009

Just got word the UW-River Falls women’s hockey team will be flying out to Vermont on Wednesday.

The Falcons had a team meeting today to go over the itinerary for the rest of the week, but coach Joe Cranston told me they will have a practice on Thursday to get ready for Elmira College (N.Y.) on Friday.

Also heard parents will be taking a bus from River Falls all the way to Vermont. Do not know the date, but hopefully will find out more later today. My guess is they will leave on Wednesday as well.

The “Super Fans,” might be getting a bus of their own for travels to Vermont. If they do get one, I will try to hitch a ride on that one. That would be a fun ride to be on. One can only imagine what actions will take place on that ride.

The first game of the Frozen Four will be on Friday March 20 at 2:30 p.m. local time. Be sure to note on the tournament bracket that all the times listed are eastern time. Do not want to be an hour late for this one.

The game should be video streamed just like the quarterfinals. As soon as we find out we will post it.

That is it for now. Hopefully I get some more info soon.
